hey
Did you try to ask permission instead of breaking into the buldings you interested in? Sorry for this silly question.
But look at Lausanne, the aljf, it works well.. they asked permission to squat 20 years ago, and since, the city let people live in unnocupied buildings untill they are destroyed, or rebuildt.
I just dont get how you think you can have a chance to make something last, when you break into a building. Tell me how the owners could agree with that. Really i dont see.
i think i speak for many people when i say this. its ok if there must be a place for alternative culture, really this is ok! but why try to make this happen in a anarchist way!!? This society have rules, many we CaN escape, but some we have to respect… even when we want to go against society…
Even not occupied, a building stays a private property… are you really against this rule???
So what i want to say…it will never work before you find some people who aGREE to let you use a building… its so sad, because i like your movement, but i just think, somehow, you’re doing it so wrong… and thats also why alternative culture has a negative image in many people, when ou squat like that… at least dont paint everywhere!!!??
and my last argument. For exemple, if a man doesnt use his car for one year, are you going to break into it and take it “because anyway it not in use?”
sorry for being so against you, i dont mean to pretend i’m clever, i dont know what are your ideas, but i am really curious to understand you better
thanks for reading, and if you have some time for a little reply, that would be cool.

‘Why can’t you act like normal people and ask for permission?’, you asked. What is normal in these days? Speculating on a ruined building whilst others can’t afford a decent place to life and work, a place where live and art aren`t commercial ? Does it seem normal surviving another round of the working week? Labouring – commuting – shopping – resting – back to work. Some money but no time. A little time but no real enthusiasm. A four week holiday as some kind of escape.
(by the way: people asked for buildings in fribourg. no one had success)
Yes, we act like anarchists cause we are.
Yes, we are against private property. Anarchists are opposed to such private ownership because we are opposed to exploiting people. It has nothing to do with the personal possessions that we all should be able to have. (like a toothbrush or a car)
shouldn we paint every wall on this planet? isnt grey the most boring colour?
we invite u to our next squat. we can have a drink or two and talk about it.
mantas

hey,
a: I get your point but I dont understand several points:
- Why are we writting in english?.I thougth we were talking about a colective in suisse not in the us neither uk neither ireland. So…
-Have you ever tried to stay somewhere for free?..even if it is falling apart….? Ive tried it several times..and never worked. Well we got to rebuilt one place…like an office, and after we fixed it couldnt use it because the cops showed up.so……did anybody said thanks?…
-Do you really think its normal to keep places empty?…really?????
You are sick. Something happened in your brain when you were little…sorry. Or you are the most selfish person Ive ever read.
well…Im going to suisse for studying(second degree a, so I may not be than stupid)…anyways, Iwas trying to get in touch with several movements to works a bit, took me forever to find this.
Also, a….Ill tell you:
Do you think I can afford paying 400 €? I tried to search for a job and found: “ONLY SUISSE PEOPLE OR C PERMIT”…In spain that´s clearly ilegal and olbviously racist.
So i cant work, cant pay 400€ for a rent —– Do you let me live at your house, a?Look , I only want to colaborate in the society Im going to live in. I want to make the world a better place little by little. If I can help a bit, ill do it.And of course, ill also live my way.
At least we camp, we protest, we scream…….
WHAT DO YOU DO A?, Where were you whenever we were trying to build a better world?

Congratulations to manta…great name by the way!
See you soon-will look 4 you,
AGUR
Hey AGUR
I wonder what is this better world you talk about, when you insult someone like that because you dislike what he said or write.
And yes, maybe there would be some place for you if you stop insulting people you did not even met.
AND
i live in a kind of a squat, in Lausanne, a LEGAL squat. So thanks but i kind of know what im talking about.
((We have authorizations to squat, we are total 80 persons in lausanne in about 12 houses, each one with a contract of free-use. It all started 20 years ago, when a group asked permission to live in this house from which i write you know. The house was property of the city which accepted. Since then, many lived here and never paid any rent. And thats authorized, never the cop showed up and never they will, just like in the 10 or 11 other houses occupied at the moment. ))
Read again my first message and youll understand im not totally against Manta, not against alternative culture. Like the person from Manta who answered me, offering me to come to talk and share a drink, which i know think would be very interesting.
Thanks for reading.
a.
PS: its not my fault if i was born in a richer country than the one you were born in. In case you where insulting me out of jealousy too.
something i forgot Agur, you say you get my point, but i think you dont.
oh, and i started in english and many answered in english but everybody is free to use the language they want.
To answer your question, I nevery said i liked or find ok the buildings being empty. Im questionning. Im doubting. Im asking if the energy is well used. Im asking how much of the alternative culture involved people are using drugs. Im just asking. Asking how can people hope they wiil be allowed to stay in a building they break the door to enter, when this happens inside “their” system. Yes the system is sick, yes it has to change, but its not by smoking weed and painting grey walls in illegal squats that the revolution will come. Sorr to be so poessimistic and to lack respect for squatters, i know its really not fair to moke. An Im not saying tha<ts what you do Agur. looking at these two websites, i can guess you do more and better than that, great, congrats.
pfiew, im tired, good night.
